We CHOOSE the atmosphere we live in by accepting it or changing it!

EACH MOMENT OF OUR DAY IS OUR CHANCE TO CHOOSE OUR ATTITUDE &
RESPONSE TO WHERE WE ARE & WHAT HAPPENS

( THE heaven or hell in our mind & surroundings starts with our ATTITUDE FIRST)

WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND CAN BE PART OF THE PROBLEM OR PART OF THE SOLUTION~

WE CAN BE HELLISH & RUTHLESS or KIND & HEAVENLY!!
NO MATTER WHAT! IT IS A CHOICE!
If you want to see happy smiling people~ share YOUR SMILE FIRST!
If you want to see a cleaner street~ pick up trash on your way!

If you want less weeds plant good seeds!
DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE PROBLEMS YOU SEE ~ then you have the RIGHT TO
TALK ABOUT IT!
JESUS modeled the heavenly KINGDOM of DOING RIGHT & LIVING IN PEACE~
LIKE NO ONE ELSE because he CHOSE TO OBEY HIS HEAVENLY FATHER DAILY AND
TAKE TIME ALONE IN THE MORNING AWAY FROM DISTRACTIONS….

to BE STILL & LISTEN

with
his heart for the HEAVENLY Father’s instructions for the day!

HE KNEW & STUDIED  the values & principles ( the letter of the law!)
from studying the Torah & Hebrew text which he meditated on day & night .( Psalm 1)

BUT LISTENING ENLIGHTENS THE WAY TO THE SPIRIT OF THE LAW!
THE LOVINGKINDNESS OF THE FATHER AND THE HEAVENLY KINGDOM HE WAS FROM!
Jesus did not have the help of the Holy Spirit until he was baptized. He had good training
but he even at 12 knew who he was and that he had a path to follow.
Read the GOSPELS (John 1 or Luke 1 is a good place to start ) and then read the WHOLE BIBLE a fresh and SEE THE TRUE KINGDOM! ( each day I crave the wisdom of the book of Proverbs ( there are 31 ~ one for each day of the month!) and

the Psalms especially Psalm 1 is the KEY to being a refreshing RIVER OF ABUNDANT LIFE…

meditating on the TRUTHS OF THE HEAVENLY KINGDOM!

A KINGDOM OF KINDNESS ~mercy & truth…with plenty to share especially HOPE!
A KINGDOM where murderous thoughts are condemned! LOVING NEIGHBOR & ENEMY and defending
the widows, orphans (the truly poor & needy !) in their time of distress and they are the
ones that will do MORE FOR THE KINGDOM than the Rich Young Ruler with all his pride & arrogance!
THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS A MIND & HEART ATTITUDE of a CHILD ~ color blind to LOVING & HELPING ALL!
GOD WILL HONOR THOSE WHO DO THE KIND KINGDOM WORK~ NOW & LATER!
I AM A LIVING TESTIMENT OF THAT~ JOIN ME~
ASK GOD TO SHOW YOU HIS LOVING HEART TODAY …help a stranger in need ~ in WORD & DEED!
and see yourself as GOD SEES ALL~~~
IN NEED OF GRACE!

(READ JOHN 4 and see the truths THE SON OF GOD SHARED WITH a woman! of a neighboring “enemy” tribe!
JESUS WAS AS RADICAL AS THEY COME!
HE KNEW GOD THE FATHER WAS HIS ONLY JUDGE WHEN HIS CLOSEST FRIENDS & DISCIPLES & FAMILY DID NOT UNDERSTAND
HE DID THE RIGHT THING ~ BECAUSE HE MODELED PERFECTLY ONE WHO LIVED HEAVENLY PEACE AND CHANGED
EVERY WHERE HIS FOOT STEPPED!
PEACE IS NOT MERELY THE ABSENCE OF TENSION..said M.L. KING
“PEACE IS THE PRESENCE OF JUSTICE”
Jesus was JUSTICE PERSONFIED WITH MERCY & HUMILITY…Micah 6:8
DO THE RIGHT THING~ SPEAK THE TRUTH RESPECTFULLY IN LOVE ( EVEN IF OTHERS DO NOT WANT TO HEAR IT AND GOD’S SPIRIT TELLS YOU TO!)
WITH MERCY & HUMILITY AND YOU WILL CHANGE YOUR WORLD & MINE
BRINGING THE KINGDOM COME!

REALLY ! DO YOU NEED A GRANDMOMI LIKE ME TO TELL YOU THIS!
MOST OF AMERICA DOES!
THEY PUSH THEMSELVES WITH DEADLINES & UNREALISTIC DEMANDS & ANOTHER CUP OF COFFEE OR STIMULANT
AND WONDER WHY THEY PUSH OTHERS AWAY! I DO NOT!
TAKE A SIESTA LIKE MOST OF THE REST OF THE WORLD & THE MOST POWERFUL & INFLUENCIAL LEADERS & MOTHERS
KNOW THIS PRINICIPLE!
REST~ unplug ! TAKE TIME OFF or BE OFF …..IT IS A HABIT OF CHOICE FOR PEACE!
times apart helps us not come apart
a day off weekly ~ helps us not have days off & be weakly
GOD’S WAYS & THE EXAMPLE GOD GAVE US TO FOLLOW
IN THE BEGINNING
( Genesis 2:2-3) truly help us sleep & wake & live in HEAVENLY PEACE!
and do not forget to LAUGH

A SHORT CUT TO REFRESHMENT right after sleep

….for laughter

& nature reminds us of the heavenly music & songs

JESUS= “THE WAY” IS THE WAY OF AGAPE LOVE….LOVE LIKE I Corinthians 13 THE GREATEST CHAPTER ON LOVE EVER WRITTEN….

LOVE IS PATIENT….KIND…..and SO MUCH MORE….!!!

READ IT…MEDITATE ON IT…MEMORIZE IT…AND YOU WILL BECOME LOVE…

AND FIND YOU ARE HOME….FOR THAT IS HEAVEN ….THE PLACE WHERE LOVE IS

BEING WELL is TRUE WEALTH

photo copyI have simple picnics here daily including today by this mini waterfall where I live ~

HOW REFRESHING & SIMPLE TO JUST LISTEN TO BUBBLING WATER!

and yet…..JESUS REFRESHES ME EVEN MORE and through the years without the outer

sanctuary that I now see everywhere ~God supplied it supernaturally by faith!

NOTHING AND NO ONE SATISFIES ME LIKE JESUS WORDS & LOVE for over 50+ years!

TODAY I celebrated my 55th birthday by having a simple day with those I love most

a simple walk & picnic ~receiving calls, texts, cards & gifts from

all over with special surprises by my GOD ALL DAY LONG~ AS USUAL!

There were several ” disappointing turns of events & changes of plans ”

But by remaining grateful & counting blessings these all become divine appointments to

CHOOSE CONTENTMENT!

WHEN we practice CONTENTMENT & GRATITUDE to the GOD who created & loves us

we are rewarded in a myriad of ways but primarily by a PEACE that can not be explained unless you experience it too!!!

ASK GOD NOW FOR THIS PEACE ~ mean it and GOD WILL SHOW UP !!!

Perhaps not the way you think because our GOD is a MYSTERIOUS & AWESOME SPIRIT
and LOVES TO SURPRISE US PERSONALLY!!!!

Each day I feel celebrated and CHOOSE TO MAKE IT A GREAT DAY because I choose to CELEBRATE LIFE and RE:BIRTH DAILY!!!~~~~

MOMENT BY MOMENT ~~~ NO MATTER WHAT & NO MATTER WHERE I AM

and NO MATTER WHO I AM WITH!
Speaking the TRUTH IN LOVE!

There does not have to be a reason when you understand that the CREATOR OF THE
UNIVERSE LOVES YOU AND HAS GOOD PLANS FOR YOU IF YOU WILL JUST
LOOK TO HIM LIKE A GOOD GOOD FATHER ( and mother as well) in fact

read the BIBLE to see how many motherly phrases God uses for himself and HIS spirit.

AND AFTER ALL in Genesis 1 GOD made man & woman in HIS IMAGE ~ MALE & FEMALE !

SO GOD’S IMAGE IS BOTH.  I miss both my parents voices today

(since they have both been gone to heaven over 20 years )

wishing me a happy birthday and yet somehow I heard them in different ways & even similiar ways through my own voice & others singing to me even in other languages and

God’s unexpected manifestations ALL DAY LONG because that’s what a GOOD GOOD

FATHER DOES….DELIGHTS TO GIVE US WHAT WE NEED &  THAT TURNS OUT TO BE JUST WHAT WE WANT!!!

JOY & PAIN of LOVING

BIRTH IS THE MOST THRILLING OF EARTHLY EXPERIENCES BUT IT IS OFTEN THE MOST

CHALLENGING AS WELL~especially the next 100 years or if the child dies before the mother!   IN other words LIFE IS a BEAUTIFUL MESS & BITTER~SWEET!!!…

 

…A MESTER~ PIECE ….orchestrated by the MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE WHO CAN MAKE
ALL THINGS TURN FOR GOOD IN TIME IF WE WILL ONLY TRUST & DO THE NEXT RIGHT THING!photo

THE SMILE on my face is the thrill of a water birth at home after hours of labor & laughter to bring forth our last son! My 12 year old daughter, ( still an amazing photographer!)took

this photo at the moment of my last of 10 births ( 8 are still living on this earth).

Anything worthwhile takes effort & even a certain amount of pain to learn to breath with & through to manage life well. I got very good at practicing breathing with my many births

( the last 5 at home !)

Life IS about taking DEEP BREATHS FOR LIFE!

It is the first & most important principle of good health~

all three aspects of good health: BODY ~ SOUL~ SPIRIT BREATHING!

AND DEEP BELLY LAUGHTER COVERS ALL THREE ASPECTS WHEN DONE PROPERLY!

TODAY my oldest son would have turned 26 ~ but sadly Luke Henry Clifford was sang into

Jesus arms & heavenly peace at the only 1 week old as his father & I wept and began the grieving process that only someone having lost a child can understand.

Doctors misdiagnosed  several times the “problem” pregnancy and ultimately GOD had different plans for our precious & beloved first born son.

ONLY GOD can give the peace that I experienced at those critical moments when the world

seemed to be falling apart .

GOD has carried me & guided me and I THANK GOD DAILY for the gifts I learned during

Luke’s short life AND death and though I miss him dearly, I am SO GRATEFUL for the GIFT OF
LIFE & DEATH because GOD IS NOT ONLY WITH ME BUT IN ME.

ASK GOD TO SHOW YOU THE WAY.

Jesus example of TRUSTING HIS FATHER & FORGIVING & LOVING ALL
IS THE WAY
IS THE TRUTH
IS THE LIFE

 

AND THIS IS THE LIFE
I WANT TO LIVE & DO PRACTICE DAILY TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY WITH GOD’S HELP

love grand mother always

Blessings on all the mothers & grand mothers today & every day!

My dear mom always said mother’s day is every day and said we should treat our mothers accordingly! Now that my mom has been dead for 20 years, I savor her words & hear myself repeating the little quotes & stories I used to hear her share with me & others.

I remember her beautiful loving blue eyes and see them often in the people I greet & I even get to hear her voice on occasion when I meet someone with the same German dialect and what a treat that is, as we converse in my Mother Tongue.

I remember how she loved beauty & flowers & there was always a flower waiting on my nightstand growing up and pictures she had painted & quilts with hand created stitches of love.

I have a love for beauty & flowers thanks to my dear mother who gave me wealth in ways that money can not buy. She read me stories & sang songs & held my hand on our long walks to the store. She, as well as my dad, greeted everyone with a cheery hello or a wave. How grateful I am for their example in many areas and especially of how to treat strangers and love all people.

I choose to pay tribute to my mother for the goodness & beauty that she taught me~

though she & I & all mother’s have our faults ~ she was the BEST MOTHER for me &

I honor her this day with sharing her photo of me above at 8 days old almost 55 years ago

and the picture with her & I ( 5 months pregnant with my first child over 35 years ago).

How special to be able to cherish these memories through photos.

I remember my mother often talking with tears wishing I could have met her mother and

telling me how kind she was to everyone and brave during WWII in Germany with bombs dropping & how with 6 little girls to raise alone she still made time to help those in need around her.

Never having met my grandmother in Germany I realized that through a few cherished pictures & my mother’s stories of her kindness & sacrifices helping so many people, including many Jews in Germany that she is VERY much alive in my heart as a hero and a legacy to live in & carry forth.

May we leave behind a LEGACY OF LOVE as mothers, fathers & friends to all.

A NURTURING & ENCOURAGING SPIRIT SHOULD LIVE IN ALL OF US NOT JUST MOTHERS!
One of my dearest friends, Lynn has no children of her own and yet has been a mother to so many as a High school teacher to deaf students for decades.

SO BLESSINGS TO ALL THE NURTURING HEARTS TODAY ~ MAKING A DIFFERENCE

EAT GOOD WORDS FOR LIFE

YOU ARE what you eat ~ especially YOUR WORDS!

photoWhen we plan a special event or party the menu is a huge part of the planning.

How we think about food tells us a lot about what is important to us.

As important as our meal planning is and should be,

it is more important to think about the

WORDS we EAT all day long.

We do not live by just our “daily bread” but by the words that we eat & the words that
“eat US”.

When we dwell on negative words we have a negative outcome just as deadly or perhaps more deadly than “JUNK FOOD” or ” SPOILED FOOD”.

FOOD poisoning comes in many forms ~ SO PLEASE WATCH YOUR EATS & YOUR WORDS.

May we SPEAK WORDS OF LIFE FOR LIFE~
Reading the Bible is so refreshing & life giving and I am continually surprised that more people do not know the BEST HEALTH SECRETS are found in the BIBLE.

When we ask God to speak to us ~ He will and one of the best ways to understand God’s thoughts & ways is in Nature & the Inspired WORD.

Unfortunately, many religions have used the Bible to control people & take their money & worse.

READ THE BOOK OF RUTH FOR EXAMPLE.

RUTH is only four short chapters & less than 15 minutes long and it is the BEST love story in the WORLD~ even BETTER than Shakespeare because it IS TRUE. Ruth’s grave is still in Israel in the town of Bethlehem and she was the great grandmother of King David and

is one of the few women listed in the genealogy of Jesus AND THE ONLY WOMAN IN the BIBLE DESCRIBED AS A VIRTUOUS* WOMAN BY NAME !

It is a picture of what GOD wants to do for each one of us. GOD wants to

REDEEM us back into a loving relationship with respect & joy & abundant life.

Just like the whole Bible the Books of Ruth & Esther are Powerful reminders that

GOD looks on the heart and that in the end LOVE & TRUTH WILL PREVAIL.

The BIBLE is a story of a love for each one of us by the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE wanting

us to be A FAMILY FOR LIFE & LOVE & LIBERTY for all!

A VALENTINE FOR YOU

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAILY!

May all our days be full of contentment with JOY!

When things do not turn out as expected ~ CHOOSE JOY by being GRATEFUL and looking for ways to make the best of the situation instead of focusing what you did not get or do not have. BE THANKFUL~ count your blessings and SING! I thought I was going to see a special friend tonight but that did not work out so I had an opportunity to adjust my thinking in order to not be discouraged. I chose to be GRATEFUL & do something different ~ LIKE ENJOY THE DAY ANYWAY & WRITE YOU A VALENTINE!!!

 

Holidays can be a highlight or a dark “night,” so to speak,

depending on your attitude and perspective, especially if you live alone or do not have a significant other in your life. For years now I have been alone but because of my faith & close relationship with GOD the Father, I have never really felt “alone.”

I have learned to go where I am celebrated not where I am tolerated and had to really decide what my CORE VALUES are should I choose to get in another relationship.

Valentine’s Day is marketed everywhere for weeks & it can be inspiring or depressing. I have always enjoyed making each day special and it is fun when there is a theme especially one for sharing & showing your love. Instead of focusing just on romance how about focusing on the reminder just to show more love & express it those most significant in your life.

Be mindful of what input is doing to your mind & attitude.

The media would like to “sell us happiness” or make us long for something or someone

we do not have.

Expectations can be so damaging.

This week I had the gift of being alone for days at the ocean to write & create & catch up on just some needed reflection and re:creation alone with my creator. I had the opportunity to be in a cabin by the beach with no car & yet really wanted to get Valentine’s made for my children, grandchildren & the special friends I have in my life.

I got to be extra creative by seeing what I had with me & the few basic things in the cabin.

What fun I have been having and have been delighted by the many ways the CREATOR has been deLIGHTing me for Valentine’s week! The myriad of birds visiting daily and the spring flowers coming up early along with songs on the radio or verses from the Bible have me constantly GIVING THANKS while the sun has been playing pick-a-boo between sunrise & the most beautiful sunsets!

Psalm 100 says we should enter God’s courts with thanksgiving & praise and years ago I decided to purpose to stay in God’s court by practicing GRATITUDE ~ NO MATTER WHAT.

WHAT A WONDERFUL HABIT and SECRET it has been for me. I am able to choose JOY & PEACE that keep me very present and not miss the BLESSING of each moment & person.

SO ~ my BEST gift to YOU , dear heart,

is to share my “secrets of JOY” and say a prayer & sing it “over you” that you would choose to STOP and take a DEEP BREATH of GRATITUDE to YOUR CREATOR and send you

some of my extra JOY & PEACE that overflows from God’s THRONE OF GRACE!
